And let that be a rocket ship for you professionally. What is your total debt load look like? Second. Currently, I have $23,000 in student loans over the course of, the 3 years and some change. I was work I ended up working full time. I got married while I was in college and got into the workforce because experience in engineering matters. And I wanted to have some experience while I was in school. So now I'm trying to just round it out and and get to that accredited engineering position. So what do you make now? Right now, I make about 68 to $69,000 a year. Right in that range. Cool. And you have no other debt other than the student loans? We have a mortgage of about 1200 a month. Okay. All inclusive. Yep. And your wife is at at home with the 1 and a half year old? That's right. Mom's staying at home, and I'm working a second job to pay off the student loans. So would you continue working full time while doing this program nights and weekends? Yes. I would actually be a fully remote student to finish out the work that's left, because all of that is actually available, for me as a remote student. So there'll be no dip in income? No dip in income apart from figuring out how to pay in advance the course work required. Yeah. I mean, I I I would figure that out ASAP, and I would how how much do you lack? I'm about 70% there, 75% there. So what would it how much total is this gonna cost you? Probably around $15,000 given the estimation that the university provided me with my current plan. Grand, and they're gonna reimburse 5 total? My company will cover a 100% of tuition year on year up to the federal tax limit, which is $55100 a year, approximately. Okay. So what if you covered the difference with cash and you were able to still do this? How quickly could you save up the difference to get through this 1st year and then save up the difference for the next year and be done? I could probably keep

I just I I just don't. You know, I I I would give him about 20% part of the right answer here and a and about 80% wrong so he loses. I feel like I feel like a different scenario would be you guys were fifty five years old. It was your second marriage and the kids are grown. That feels different. Situation with saying, Hey. But you're contributing, you know, the vast majority you're you're contributing half with the sale of the house and the building of the house and your income for 40 years from age thirty five to age sixty five or to age seventy five. Right? And you're you're contributing half all the way through there And so how your daughter doesn't get into that half is ridiculous. Okay. The the from a math standpoint, from a philosophical or spiritual standpoint, it's just a stupid piece of dirt. I don't really care where it came from. I mean, I've got some dirt that I own that I really love, and I'd like to see my kids and grandkids playing on it for my great grandkids, my great, great, great, great, grand when I'm looking at them from heaven. I'd love to see them playing on that and enjoying that dirt, but I don't want it to form their life. And I don't want them to value that dirt over relationships. Yeah. Yes. Yes, sir. Yeah. I just I I I so I don't buy off on the sentimental crap. You you know, if you I I got, you know, uh-uh, some hand tools from my dad. Okay? That's sentimental. Okay. They're ancient antique hand tools. Right? And so those are sent

So we're gonna put that repo, as nasty as it is, in the back of your mind, and try to get to work and get your current life straightened out as fast as you possibly can here. I I think that's what's gonna matter is what Jade said. This is the Ramsey Show. Hey, guys. It's Rachel Cruze here to tell you about a faith based alternative to health insurance that can make health care more affordable, Christian Healthcare Ministries. CHM allows members to share each other's health care costs, and it's as easy as 1, 2, 3. Step 1, choose the health care provider you want. Step 2, submit your eligible bills. And step 3, get reimbursed. CHM members take care of your eligible medical bills. With no network and the freedom to choose your health care provider, CHM is the best option for Christians who wanna take care of their families and help other believers.
